My Morning Skincare Routine

I have been wanting to share my skincare routine for a while but I wanted to make sure that I was pretty happy with it before I shared it. I have always been quite lucky with my skin and not having to worry about having crazy acne prone skin. For the longest time, I didn’t have a skincare routine that I consistently followed. Now, as I have moved more into my adult life I have noticed that my skin had changed quite a bit due to more stress in my life and requires more of a skincare routine.

To begin with, I like using the Philosophy Purity Cleaner to get rid of any of the dirt or oil that has built up overnight. I like to put a pump of Purity on my Clarisonic, wet my face and let the Clarisonic do its job. The Purity cleanser leaves my skin feeling super clean without leaving it with any of the tightness that you can get from some other cleanser.

As of late, my skin has been a little drier than normal that I have been using the Pacifica Coconut Essence Hydro Mist to give my skin a little shot of hydration. After I let that soak into my skin I like to hit with some more hydration with a moisturizer. As of lately, I have really been enjoying the Philosophy Purity Moisturizer it is super lightweight but lets my skin feeling hydrated all day long without feeling super greasy.

To finishes off my routine, I use an eye cream that helps with the really bad undereye circles that I got from my momma. (LOVE YOU MOM) You got to love genes. However, I have been using the Sunday Riley Auto Correct which I have honestly have seen a true difference in my undereye circles. All in all, I am really enjoying my skincare routine and my skin has been responded supremely well. My skin is looking the best it has looked in a long time.

Five Minute Make Up Routine

Honestly, most days I am lucky if I am able to walk out the door with my scrub pants on the right way round let alone have a full face of makeup on my face. Nevertheless,  when I do have a little extra time to put on more than mascara, that is where my trusty five minutes makeup routine comes in to play.

To begin with, I use the BareMinerals Complexion Rescue all over my face either with my fingers or a Real Techniques sponge. This is great for evening out my skin tone while giving me some SPF 30. I then like to give my face a little bit of color by using some bronzer. The bronzer that I have been loving lately is the Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer.

Now, that my face is done I move on to my eyes. I like to take a fluffy shadow brush and dip into a matte shade to give a wash of color on my eyelid. I focus most of the color on my lid and then blend outwards from that point. My go-to colors are mainly warm browns but I have been using the Huda Beauty Mauve Obsessions for the last couple months.

My favorite shade from the palette is the chocolate/purple color with works really well with my skin tone. I like to at least apply one coat of mascara to finish off my eye look. For the daytime I like my eyelashes to look pretty natural and that is what the Marc Jacobs Noir Velvet mascara does to my eyelashes .

To finishes off my look, I will throw on my lip balm like the glossier Blamdotcom. This routine takes me no longer than five minutes to do but it just gives me that little bit more put together look when I walk out the door.

Do you have your quick makeup routine when you’re in a rush? Do you have a makeup product that you always put on ?

A Life Update

Hi guys! It has been a little while since I have posted on my blog and as much as I wanted to spent February putting a lot a work into it. Life likes to remind us that sometimes it does not always go as we would like it to go. At the beginning of February, my Grandpa got sick and had to go into the hospital.  He did get a little better and was able to go home.

The following week he took a turn for the worst and had to go back into the hospital. As the days went on he got a lot worst and we all knew that it would not be long until he would pass away. Then on February 12th, my grandpa passed away.

I ended up taking off work for the rest of the work to help my mom with the funeral and anything else that she needed help with. At the funeral, I spoke about my grandpa’s life and his love of ice cream. I truly felt honored to speak about my grandpa’s life and his love for his family. I feel very privileged to have been his granddaughter.

After what seemed like some of the longest weeks of my life, it reminded me that life is short. You have to work hard to make your dreams come true and you can’t just sit around wishing that they will happen. It takes a lot of blood, sweat, and tears to make it happen.

I just wanted to let you guys know what was going on in my life and why I had not been posting like I said  I would in my February goals.  However, in the last few days, I have been working on some blog posts that will be coming out very soon. I am ready to make this blog the best that it can be.

 Much Love,

Brynn

A New Year for New Goals

Happy New Year!!! It’s 2018!! I can not believe that it is a new year already, 2017 definitely went by a lot faster than I realized it did. Last year was not a great year for me but it was by no means a horrible year either.  However, I am truly ready for the new year and the fresh beginning that it gives us all . Like most people, I like to set myself goals for the new year and this year I wanted to make sure that I keep the goals that I have set myself. This year I have four goals that I want to accomplish by the end of this year. Here are my goals for this year:

Being Overall Healthy

This is probably the one of the goals that almost everyone has on this new year’s goals. I really want to focus on being a healthy person this year. I want to get better at a workout schedule and sticking with it.  Also, I want to be healthier with my mind. I want to make sure that I am not putting it on the back burner and taking the time to make mind healthier.

Be Money Smart

I want to take this year to learn about how to invest my money and to start really saving for things that I would like to buy in the future. I want to be building credit, making smart moves with my money and not spending it on silly things. I want to set a budget myself so that I can monitor my spending habits and start building a saving.

Be More Adventurous

This goal is the one goal that I want to make sure that no matter want happens I  will make it happen. I have quite a few places on my bucket list that I would like to check off this year. I want to try a new hobby, meet new people, try new food and maybe even live in a new city. I am tired of being afraid of living safely anymore. I want to live the life that I have been dreaming of and I can’t do that if I don’t take a leap of faith. I am more than ready than I will ever be. I really can’t wait to see where I will go or who I will meet or what I will try.

Better Organization

If you don’t know me I can be very disorganized and be okay with it. However, I really want to try to be as organized as I can be this year. I feel that this will let me be more creative. I also want to be organized with my planner and use it. I am notorious for buying a planner and only using it for a few days. This year will be the year of organizing for me.

Who knows what 2018 will hold but I am very excited for it !

What goals do you have for 2018?

Much Love,

Brynn
