September has come to an end and October is now in full swing. I can not believe that we only have three more months left in 2017! It’s so crazy how fast the year has gone by!! I thought that I would share with you all some things that I have been loving from the past month.
Philosophy Pure Grace
I have been wearing this perfume every day and I can not get enough of it. I just love how light and clean this perfume is on mine skin.If you are a big fan of the clean scent this one is for you. This is definitely a go-to perfume and I am so happy that I discovered it.
Milani Teddy Bare
There is nothing better than a go-to lipstick and this is what Milani Teddy Bare is. I love the color and how comfortable it is on the lips. it gives my lips a little color without being super out there.
The Fresh Market Bergamot Clementine Body Butter
This body butter is A-MAZ-ING!!! I can’t get enough of this body butter and it has easily become one of my new favorites. Also, I cannot get enough the smell of the bergamot and clementine. It really just melts into your skin like BUT-TER, which is the best thing ever.
Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum
My hair is thick, frizzy, and curly so I am always on the lookout for something that can my hair less than frizzy. This skinny serum is one of the best ones that I have used. It gives my hair shine and cut done my frizz I can not get enough of it.

What is something you have to do to make you feel like fall is fully here?
Ahhhh. The weekend. There is nothing better than not having to wake up early and go to work. These few short days are just for you to do anything you want. For me, the weekend is when I like to let my skin breathe from the long days of makeup, sweat and dirt filled days of the week. However, when I do put on makeup during the weekend I like to keep it as simple as possible. I don’t like to do anything too crazy just enough to make myself look put together.
I start with BareMinerals Completion Rescue * in shade 4.5 wheat as my base I like to blend it in with a real technicians sponge. I like keeping my base product light with coverage so that it doesn’t feel heavy and my skin still looks like my skin. It’s the weekend and I don’t like to put too much effort in my makeup routine.Unfortunately, for me, I have dreadfully bad dark circles and have to cover them up with the Maybelline Superstay Better Skin *in light to even out the darkness. To give it a more natural look I just dot the concealer on to my dark circles then blend it out with my real techniques sponge.
I then move on to my eyes where I start with my eyebrows. I like to fill in the sparse areas of my eyebrows with Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer * in dark brown. I don’t go crazy or anything but I just like my eyebrows to look even. With my eyeshadow, I really like that the one wash of color on the eye. It’s a simple and effortless look that can be done in seconds. The Maybelline Color Tattoo Crayon in bronze truffle is my current favorite for this, all I do is swipe it on and blend out with my fingers. Then to finishes off my look by I coat my lashes with L’Oréal Voluminous Lash Paradise * mascara.

I have been very lucky to have been introduced to traveling at such a young age when I went to go visit my sister in Japan. Even since then I have been compiling a list of places in the world that I want to visit before I die. Traveling is such an adventure and a life lesson all wrapped up in one. Not only do you get to meet new people, you get to lose yourself in a different world and learn something new about yourself. You don’t have to be rich to travel the world you just have to make it one of your priorities in life. I always joke with my mom that the only reason I work is so I can travel the world. My dream job would have to be to travel the world and discover new places. I have a feeling that this list will forever be changing.

Where in the world do you want to visit?
Mascara is one of my favorite beauty products to use hands down. I am always so excited when it come to pick out a mascara that I want to wear for the day. When it comes to buying mascara I tend to stick with drugstore brands. Not only are they a great price but I feel that the formula is just as good or even better than some of the high-end brands. I really do have my favorite high-end mascaras but I tend to reach for a drugstore mascara more than the high-end one. I have narrow down my favorite to my top three that are totally worth buying from the drugstore.
Maybelline Lash Sensational
When I first bought this mascara and used it I could totally see why there was so much hype about this product. It made my lashes look longer, fuller and it did not clump at all.Which is everything that I want in a mascara regardless if it high-end or drugstore. I have repurchased the Lash Sensatioanl mascara multiple times and will keep buying it. I will always have this on hand in my makeup bag as a trusty go to. Also, what makes this a great mascara is that no matter what kind of make up you are wearing for the day, it goes. This is also great for days when you don’t want to wear any other make up but mascara just to make yourself look a little more put together. Great for when you get done with the gym and have some errands to do.
L’Oréal Voluminous Lash Paradise
This mascara has been out for a little bit now and I feel like everyone is talking about it in the beauty community. The L’Oréal Voluminous Lash Paradise is hands down one of THE best mascaras that I have tried. I also agree with a lot of other beauty lover that this is a great dupe for the Too Faced BTS mascara ,you are getting the same great look without the higher price tag. It makes my lashes look fuller, super long , does not clump or flake off. I can wear this all day and it still looks as good as when I first put it on. Even when you put on more than one coat of the mascara on my lashes still look just as amazing and not clumply. I could go one talking about this mascara for days if I wanted to do but if I where you I would run to the closest drugstore and pick yourself up one of these quick. Seriously go get your hands on this now.
Physicians Formula Organic Wear Fake Out
Physisans Formula is a brand that I feel that is not on a lot of peoples radars. They really have some great products like the Organic Wear Fake Out mascara. I love the way this mascara curls and adds volume to my lashes. Also, it has 100% natural ingredients which is a plus. The only thing that is a negitive for me was that it did not give me that “Fake ” lash look which I am okay with it,which is probabley why I love this mascara so much. It gives me a very natual looking lash would is great for daytime looks or when you dont want to wear a lot of make up. You really can’t go wrong with this mascara.
What is your favorite drugstore mascara ? Do you prefer drugstore or high-end mascara?
Hello, July !! It’s is so crazy to think that we are over halfway through the year already. However, July is going to be a crazy month for me with my boards, my nephew’s graduation party and so much more. I out of breath just thinking about it but that has not stopped me from putting together a list of my monthly goals.
- Post a Blog Post 3 times a week.
- Keep Working out
- Try a new workout
- Eat at home more
- Start planning a youtube channel ( Scared)
- Visit my sister and her family’s house
- Organize and clean my desk
- Pass my Boards (hopefully)
- Make a better blogging schedule
- Buy/pick some fresh flowers
Do you have a crazy month ahead also? What are your July goals?
Pizza is by far one of my favorite meals that I like to eat, it’s so simple yet so delicious. Now, that I have been getting into making more of my dinners at home to save money. I started to play around with making pizza at home. I quickly learn that it is super easy and can turn out to be ultra delicious. Another reason why I love making pizza at home now is because I can make it any way I like. If I want to make it healthier I can but if I want to have a junk food day I can by making the pizza not so healthy. This the best of both worlds because I am not spending a lot of money on pizza and I can also be a little healthier too.

Tarte is one of all time my favorite brand of makeup and they never seem to disappointment me with any of the products that I have tried from them thus far. One of my favorite products that Tarte makes is their eyeshadows because they are richly pigmented and super easy to blend when they are on the eyelid. I love a good color payoff from an eyeshadow and Tarte sure as heck knows what they are doing with theirs. I recently had a Sephora gift card that I want to use up that I had from Christmas. So while I was in line to check out I got sucker into buying something from those sample and mini products pods that are all around you while in line saying “BUY ME! I know you want to!”
The one that was calling my name that day was the Tarte Tartlet Tease Clay Palette. BOY was I glad that this little joy of a palette had jumped into my basket before I had left the store. I had seen this mini palette before and never really had much thought about until I was waiting in line that day. I really don’t know where is palette has been but with the six perfectly pair shades, it sure as heck rocked my world. There are four matte shades and two shimmer shades which are super handy for creating multiple looks. I find that myself reaching for it almost every day and on the plus side it has a very delightful smell, almost like vanilla cupcakes.
The Tease palette is a palette that you will not regret buying yet it is not overly priced. It is the perfect size to travel with whether you are going to your friend’s house for the night or traveling a few months in Europe. I am defiantly taking this with in May when I go to Florida. You can make a daytime look and a night looks with the same palette. When it comes down to it if you have not tried this palette before then you need to. It’s just one of those makeup products that you make a part of your routine and you will miss it if it not there.
Please share what you favorite Tarte product in the comment below. I would love to hear from you.
Much love, Brynn

Hellooo!! Welcome to my first blog post on The Wondering Brunette!
I have tried my hand at blogging before and my heart was never really into it then. I had a hard time trying to figuring out where I wanted to take my blog and how much effort I wanted to put in to it. So I took some time to think about where I wanted to take my blog or even if I wanted to continue blogging. So that is where The Wondering Brunette comes in, it’s going to be a lifestyle blog and fresh start for me. This way I can write about all of the things that I am interned in like baking, traveling, makeup, sports, and fashion. Where as my other blog before I tried to just focus on makeup but I just myself not loving makeup that much to just write about it.
However, what really made me think about taking my blog seriously and actually putting time into my blog is a video that my mom showed me a few weeks back. It was a video of Steve Harvey taking to his studio audience about how you have to take the jump in life if you want to make your dreams happen. I will link the video here. It is a great video to watch and it makes me think that you really do have to take a leap in life if you want to make your dreams come true. I really don’t know where I want this blog to take me but I do want to see where this will take me. You never know what is going to happen in life if you don’t take the opportunity when it is in front of you.
I hope that you will find my blog entertaining and maybe help one of you out by bringing a little joy to your day. I will be posting a new post every Sunday,Wednesday and Friday. Be sure to hit that follow button so you never miss a post. You can also follow me on Instagram, Twitter, and bloglovin’. I also look forward to getting know you, hi yes you, more. That is another reason why I wanted to start a blog is to interact with more people. I hope that you have a wonderful day and make sure to follow so you don’t miss anything.
Much Love, Brynn
