During the fall everything seems to get a cozy vibe and for me that even goes for the music that I listen to. To me there is nothing better than putting on some relaxing song and get lost in a book on a lazy Saturday afternoon. I put this playlist together about a year ago and I am always adding new song to it. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
Does your music taste change with the season or do you listen to the same style all year round?
I have been wanting to share my skincare routine for a while but I wanted to make sure that I was pretty happy with it before I shared it. I have always been quite lucky with my skin and not having to worry about having crazy acne prone skin. For the longest time, I didn’t have a skincare routine that I consistently followed. Now, as I have moved more into my adult life I have noticed that my skin had changed quite a bit due to more stress in my life and requires more of a skincare routine.
To begin with, I like using the Philosophy Purity Cleaner to get rid of any of the dirt or oil that has built up overnight. I like to put a pump of Purity on my Clarisonic, wet my face and let the Clarisonic do its job. The Purity cleanser leaves my skin feeling super clean without leaving it with any of the tightness that you can get from some other cleanser.
As of late, my skin has been a little drier than normal that I have been using the Pacifica Coconut Essence Hydro Mist to give my skin a little shot of hydration. After I let that soak into my skin I like to hit with some more hydration with a moisturizer. As of lately, I have really been enjoying the Philosophy Purity Moisturizer it is super lightweight but lets my skin feeling hydrated all day long without feeling super greasy.
To finishes off my routine, I use an eye cream that helps with the really bad undereye circles that I got from my momma. (LOVE YOU MOM) You got to love genes. However, I have been using the Sunday Riley Auto Correct which I have honestly have seen a true difference in my undereye circles. All in all, I am really enjoying my skincare routine and my skin has been responded supremely well. My skin is looking the best it has looked in a long time.

As of late, I have been listening to podcasts non-stop. I have always enjoyed listening to them as a great alternative to music but lately, it’s like I cannot get enough of them. They have quickly become an obsession for me. I love listening to them on my drive to work in the morning to help get my mind rolling for the day ahead or while relaxing in the bath to unwind from the day. Here are three podcasts that I have not been able to stop listening to lately.
If you are a fan of things that are unusual or that cannot be fully be explained then this is the perfect podcast for you. The way that the stories are told is done in a beautifully poetic and intriguing way that keeps your mind turning long after the episode has finished. It is the perfect blend of history and the unexplained that intertwined perfectly with each other. The mystery of the Eilean Mòr Lighthouse Keepers that is in episode 8, When the Light Fades is the one story that I have found the most intriguing of all the episodes that I have listening to so far. Listen to Unexplained Here.
Great Women of Business
This is a fairly new podcast that had come out and I am quite happy that I had come across it early this month. There is only six episode out so far but I have loved them all. During each episode, the hosts talk about the women who have revolutionized the industry that they are famous for. The hosts break down these women life stories and show how their choices that they made had an affected on their business. They start off with a bang with Coco Chanel, and I learned a lot of things about Ms. Chanel that I had never know before. I found this podcast quite inspiring and empowering, it is defiantly worth a listen. Listen to Great Women of BusinessHere.
At Home With…
Two of my favorite Youtuber Anna Newton and Lily Pebble are behind this fabulous podcast. These two lovely ladies go and interview women that they admire in their homes. I really like how laid back the interview style. You feel like you are sitting around with a group of friends just having a conversation. I really find myself being truly inspired by hearing these women stories of how they became a kick-ass trailblazer in their respected industries. Listen to At Home With … Here
I am always looking for a new podcast to check out if you have any recommendation please let me know. I would love to go check them out.

Hello, February! I am over the moon that February is here, I swear January is the longest month of the whole year! This year January seemed extra long for me as I was sick for almost all of it. So as I am starting to get back to my healthy self I want to get back on track with the goals that I have set myself for the new year. While also working on my big goals, I like to set myself some small goals for the month ahead. On a side note isn’t crazy that there is now only 11 more months in 2018!?!? So here are my goals for February…
– Workout three or four times a week
– Post two blog post a week
– Find some new podcast to listen too
– Pack my lunch 4 out of the 5 days at work
– Plan out my blog post for March
– Try something new
– Find a new book to read ( Any suggestion?)
– Start planning a solo trip
– Drink more water
– Use my bullet journal more
What are you most looking forward to this month?
Happy New Year!!! It’s 2018!! I can not believe that it is a new year already, 2017 definitely went by a lot faster than I realized it did. Last year was not a great year for me but it was by no means a horrible year either. However, I am truly ready for the new year and the fresh beginning that it gives us all . Like most people, I like to set myself goals for the new year and this year I wanted to make sure that I keep the goals that I have set myself. This year I have four goals that I want to accomplish by the end of this year. Here are my goals for this year:
Being Overall Healthy
This is probably the one of the goals that almost everyone has on this new year’s goals. I really want to focus on being a healthy person this year. I want to get better at a workout schedule and sticking with it. Also, I want to be healthier with my mind. I want to make sure that I am not putting it on the back burner and taking the time to make mind healthier.
Be Money Smart
I want to take this year to learn about how to invest my money and to start really saving for things that I would like to buy in the future. I want to be building credit, making smart moves with my money and not spending it on silly things. I want to set a budget myself so that I can monitor my spending habits and start building a saving.
Be More Adventurous
This goal is the one goal that I want to make sure that no matter want happens I will make it happen. I have quite a few places on my bucket list that I would like to check off this year. I want to try a new hobby, meet new people, try new food and maybe even live in a new city. I am tired of being afraid of living safely anymore. I want to live the life that I have been dreaming of and I can’t do that if I don’t take a leap of faith. I am more than ready than I will ever be. I really can’t wait to see where I will go or who I will meet or what I will try.
If you don’t know me I can be very disorganized and be okay with it. However, I really want to try to be as organized as I can be this year. I feel that this will let me be more creative. I also want to be organized with my planner and use it. I am notorious for buying a planner and only using it for a few days. This year will be the year of organizing for me.
Who knows what 2018 will hold but I am very excited for it !
What goals do you have for 2018?

Nothing beats a rainy, fall day with lit candles sprinkled around the room, with a cozy playlist on, reading a great new book. Music can put the finishing touch to any atmosphere that you want to create. I put together a playlist of songs that I feel that creates a cozy vibe, so whenever I put it on I can feel cozy.
The title of my playlist is A Cozy Fall Vibe and you can find on Spotify here.
Do you have a cozy fall playlist or music you only play during fall?
A few days ago, while out running errands I notice in one of the stores that they already had some Christmas things out. There in that store, it hit me that we only have three more months left in 2017!!! Where did the time go?!?!? It still feels like it should be May but unfortunately, we can’t turn back the clock. However, my favorite time of the year is here and I could not be more happy about it. I just love everything about the Fall and Winter. So, to end my year on a high note I want to achieve five goals before that clock hit midnight on December 31st.
Keep working on getting healthier
I just feel like I am not a healthy as I really could be. So I want to work on eating healthier and working out more. This way I can start to feel better about myself and feel more confident about my body. I know that it is going to be a little bit of a challenge coming up to the holiday season but I really want to be as healthy as I can. It not about losing the weight it just about becoming an all-around healthier person.
Get a job for what I went to school for
This goal is self-explanatory really. I am just ready to have a real job, so I am going to make it happen.
Put more effort into my blog
I really want to make my blog the best that it can be and this means really putting some effort into it. I haven’t really put the most effort into this blog up to this point and I think that is can show. I want to make sure that when I am working on a blog post I am putting everything that I can into the post.
Making A Budget
I spend way too much money on coffee and silly things that I don’t need.I just want to be aware of what I am spending my money on. Also with creating a budget, I want to start really saving money. This way I can be more money conscious, so when I get a job then I have money saved to get the things that I need for the move.
Get out of my comfort zone
I have gotten really comfortable in the last year or so and I want to push myself out of it. I don’t know how I am going to do this but I really want to work on it the best that I can!
September has come to an end and October is now in full swing. I can not believe that we only have three more months left in 2017! It’s so crazy how fast the year has gone by!! I thought that I would share with you all some things that I have been loving from the past month.
Philosophy Pure Grace
I have been wearing this perfume every day and I can not get enough of it. I just love how light and clean this perfume is on mine skin.If you are a big fan of the clean scent this one is for you. This is definitely a go-to perfume and I am so happy that I discovered it.
Milani Teddy Bare
There is nothing better than a go-to lipstick and this is what Milani Teddy Bare is. I love the color and how comfortable it is on the lips. it gives my lips a little color without being super out there.
The Fresh Market Bergamot Clementine Body Butter
This body butter is A-MAZ-ING!!! I can’t get enough of this body butter and it has easily become one of my new favorites. Also, I cannot get enough the smell of the bergamot and clementine. It really just melts into your skin like BUT-TER, which is the best thing ever.
Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum
My hair is thick, frizzy, and curly so I am always on the lookout for something that can my hair less than frizzy. This skinny serum is one of the best ones that I have used. It gives my hair shine and cut done my frizz I can not get enough of it.
